Inova Loudoun Hospital - Fact Sheet
Inova Loudoun Hospital is a 155-bed facility that has been providing residents of Loudoun County, Virginia, with high quality healthcare since 1912. Services include obstetrics, advanced cancer treatment, emergency care, cardiac services, rehabilitation, a dedicated pediatric emergency department, psychiatric services, intensive care services and more.
Inova Loudoun Hospital is a recipient of the prestigious Magnet designation, the highest institutional honor awarded for nursing excellence, presented by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Only two percent of the 6,000 hospitals in the United States have earned this designation, with Inova Loudoun Hospital being only the fourth in the state of Virginia to receive it.
The Ladies Board Birthing Inn at Inova Loudoun Hospital places a strong emphasis on family centered care, providing expectant mothers and families with individualized attention while also utilizing the most advanced technology available. The Birthing Inn features all-private rooms and educational resources include classes on childbirth preparation and support groups for expectant mothers.
Schaufeld Family Heart Center at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute is a 15,000 square-foot facility located on the Lansdowne Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital. The institute provides state-of-the-art technologies to treat patients who have heart and vascular disease through diagnosis, evaluation, education, treatment and rehabilitation. The full spectrum of care includes interventional radiology, invasive and non-invasive cardiac services, vascular ultrasound and clinics for disease of the vasculature.
The hospital’s Mary Elizabeth Miller Radiation Oncology Center provides radiation therapy services for cancer patients. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons, it features state-of-the-art equipment, including a three-dimensional treatment-planning system that enables our doctors to localize treatments accurately.
Located on the Leesburg campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital, the Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is Inova Loudoun Hospital’s private 100-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility. It offers intermediate and long-term nursing care, as well as a wide assortment of rehab services for those recovering from strokes and orthopedic surgeries. The Leesburg campus also offers diagnostic imaging services and 24-hour emergency care.
The hospital’s Loudoun Adult Medical Psychiatric Services provides adult acute psychiatric inpatient for people suffering from emotional problems or substance abuse. We also provide geriatric psychiatric care. Our staff includes board certified psychiatrists and other skilled mental health practitioners.
Inova Loudoun Hospital offers comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitative services on an outpatient and inpatient basis. Most are available at several different locations. Services include physical and occupational therapy, speech pathology, hand therapy, lymphedema management, aquatic therapy, massage therapy and special services for pediatric patients.
In 2008, Inova Loudoun Hospital was named a "Best in Value" by Data Advantage LLC, a national healthcare information company. The hospital was one of only five hospitals ranked in the top quartile in the Washington region.
Other Loudoun County services include Inova Medical Center-Dulles South, a 22,000 square-foot medical center that offers diagnostic imaging services, urgent care and physical therapy.
