Inova Fair Oaks Hospital - Fact Sheet
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is a 182-bed, nationally recognized community hospital serving the suburbs of western Fairfax and eastern Loudoun counties in Northern Virginia.
The not-for-profit hospital, which opened in 1987, offers a full range of medical and surgical services, including cardiac care, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, emergency and critical care, bariatrics, extensive diagnostic and outpatient services, and outpatient surgery services.
The hospital provides cardiac catheterization, a full spectrum of diagnostic services, including radiology, CT scanning, MRI, digital angiography, ultrasonography and echocardiography, and a pediatric unit for babies and children up to age 18.
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital offers patient and family amenities including free valet parking, complimentary “At Your Request” room service for patient meals and the interactive GetWell Network featuring e-mail, Internet access, movies and games.
The hospital boasts a Sleep Disorders Program offering comprehensive sleep evaluations for patients suffering from sleep apnea, insomnia, chronic fatigue and other problems associated with sleep disorders.
The hospital’s comprehensive bariatrics program offers a dedicated team of physicians and highly-trained staff that provides evaluation, education and treatment services for persons seeking weight loss surgery. The program has been named a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
In 2006, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital was awarded the U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award for Virginia, the Commonwealth's premier awards program for performance excellence. Inova Fair Oaks Hospital was identified as a model organization for having demonstrated excellence and maturity in its business approaches, deployment and results.
The Endoscopy Center at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital offers six suites and less invasive endoscopic procedures for the colon and large intestine; the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts and pancreas; the esophagus and stomach. Vitamin-sized capsules that contain a tiny camera are also available when additional diagnostic information is needed.
In 2008, consumers rated Inova Fair Oaks Hospital’s Emergency Department an area leader for staff friendliness, respect and concern in Washington Consumer Checkbook Magazine.
